Keynote speaker will include Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10), a member of the House Committee on Small Business. He will discuss ways transportation investment helps local businesses and the economy as well as provide an update of the re-authorization of federal transportation legislation (MAP 21), which will expire in September 2014. Reauthorization of Map 21 is critical to providing a stream of sustainable funding to highway and transit agencies. In addition, we plan to have Pace Suburban Bus, Executive Director, TJ Ross and Metra Rail Planning Director, David Kralik discuss their plans, transit initiatives, and capital funding needs of their respective agencies.
Following the presentations, the TMA will conduct the election of our 2013-2014 Board of Directors and distribute our 2012 Annual Report. We hope you or a designated representative can attend.
